Work History
I worked in the freezing works as a boner from 1969 to 1987 at Westfield Freezing Works. From there I worked at Best Woods, Carter Holt Harvey for the next 2 years, and then worked as a Kaiwhina at Kokako Ltd.
Vision for the Marae
I would like to see our marae become self sufficient in all areas, financial and management. I would also like to see the Rongoa and Community garden flourishing, where the commmunity can access the rongoa and vegetables freely. Also another personal vision I would like to see happening is having the 3 hahi (Ringatu, Paimarire and Ratana) running on the marae together.
"Kia whakatu nga hahi Maori pera kia Ringatu, Paimarire me Ratana, ki runga i tenei marae. Kia kotahi ai ngai tatou te iwi maori".
