Lorraine is the Pou Whakahaere Kaupapa (Health Programme Co-ordinator) for the Manurewa Marae. Her role includes coordinating health services and programmes within the Marae, to enable the community to access as many services as possible.  Lorraine also manages Te Manu Aute Whare Oranga, which is an integrated whanau centre that has clinical health services and tradtional services available for whaanau to access. 

Lorraine co-ordinated the development of Whare Oranga and also project managed the construction of the facility.  Prior to becoming the Health programme co-ordinator she was also the promotional events and website manager.  She has been working with the marae for many years and also developed the Manurewa Maraes bookings and community access database.

Lorraine was the project manager of Hauora.com (Maori Health Workforce development) which included managing the projects and contracts of Te Ohu Rata o Aotearoa (Maori Doctors and Medical Students collective) incorporated society. Lorraine also tutored Youth and Adults in Computer and employment skills.

Her moemoea (dream) is to see the community flourishing by participating at the marae more, and having programmes that promote the importance of whanau (family). She also makes Maori Rongoa (Maori medicine).

Background Qualifications

National Certificate in Adult Training Level 5 , NZ Diploma in Business , Provider Infrastructure Development, Intermediate Excel , Advanced Excel , Access Essential Skills, Access Data Analysis and Report.
