Mahi history
• Started at Te Timatatanga Kohanga Reo as a kaiawhina in 1993 at the age of 19 going on 20. Had very little Te Reo Maori when I started.
• I have learn't how to korero and understand Te Reo Maori through being at Te Timatatanga Kohanga Reo for the past 14 years.
• I set myself a goal to be qualified at 25years old in the pakeha sector. And by the age of 30 be qualified in the Kohanga Reo kaupapa.
• I achieved both by the age of 28.

Vision for the marae
• My vision for the Manurewa Marae: kia whakakotahi te tangata (to unite the people), and bring them into the world of light, knowledge and understanding.
